WHOOP

Connected

If you wear a WHOOP, FitBond can use your workouts and physiological data to confirm whether you met a bond — no manual check-ins, no screenshots.

What we read

  • Workouts. Type, start and end time, duration, and strain for each activity, used to confirm a session happened.
  • Heart rate. Average and peak heart rate during a workout, used to confirm genuine effort.
  • Recovery & cycles. Daily recovery and physiological cycle summaries, used only where a bond measures recovery or consistency.
  • Profile basics. Your WHOOP user ID and name, used to link the connection to your FitBond account.

Permissions we request

  • read:workout
  • read:cycles
  • read:recovery
  • read:profile
  • offline

We request the narrowest scopes needed to verify a bond. You grant access on WHOOP's own consent screen and can revoke it at any time.

How we use it

  • Verify that a bonded workout or streak actually took place.
  • Show you the activity that satisfied (or missed) a bond.
  • Refresh your data in the background so verification works without you opening the app.

We do not sell WHOOP data or expose raw provider data to charities or marketplace businesses. Charity administrators see the donation records needed for their own organisation, subject to the donor’s visibility and Gift Aid choices.

Retention & deletion

We keep the WHOOP data tied to your active bonds for as long as your account is open and those bonds need to be auditable. Data no longer linked to an active or recently settled bond is removed on a rolling basis.

You can disconnect WHOOP in the app at any time, which stops further syncing. To delete data we already hold, revoke access in the app or email privacy@fitbond.co.uk to request erasure, subject to any retention required for settled Bonds, security, or law.
